MUSIC

In North America, Hip-Hop music generates over 2 billion dollars a year in record sales. Over the last decade, urban radio stations have risen to the top of the charts, with Hip-Hop music ranking 2nd only to Rock, as America’s favorite genre of music. TMG’s music department is committed to discovering the world’s most talented Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop & Alternative artists. Positioned to contribute to the success of the world’s leading music production and distribution companies, TMG has built a strong foundation for continual growth and achievement. With a visionary approach, high standards and a management team that attracts the most exciting and original artists of our time, TMG is set to stand at the forefront of the Hip-Hop music community.

FILM

“Boyz n the Hood”, “The Wood”, “The Brothers”, “The Best Man”, “Soul Food”, “Love and Basketball”, “Brown Sugar” and many others are movies aimed at the urban market, but reach an even greater audience. “Boyz n the Hood”, with an estimated budget of $6M USD, generated a gross of over $57M USD. “Soul Food”, with an estimated budget of $7.5M USD, generated over $43M USD. The continued list is just as significant. The Mackevelli Group’s motion picture department specializes in the development, production and distribution of feature films directed towards the urban community. Whether working with highly successful Hollywood executives or up-and-coming independent filmmakers, TMG is able to provide consulting and production services from the best in the business. The Mackevelli Group aims to produce and distribute some 10-20 films a year, committed to matching the success of some of the leading production companies.

TELEVISION

The Urban community has made a large impact on the world of television entertainment. “Girlfriends”, a successful television series, produced by “Frasier’s” Kelsey Grammer, has been running for six consecutive seasons, while Damon Wayans’, “My Wife and Kids”, has ran for five. In addition to becoming one of North America’s most watched television programming, Hip-Hop’s growing consumer base has attracted some of the world’s leading advertisers. The Mackevelli Group television department is positioned to become a leading force behind the development, production, and marketing of television entertainment for the Hip-Hop community, including primetime series, and mini-series. TMG is in the process of teaming up with some exciting television producers and networks worldwide, building a dynamic and powerful television production team that consistently proves to be the best in the business.

KEVIN DICKSON, PRESIDENT/CEO

 

Nationally known as “Captain Save’m”, Bay-Area native Kevin Dickson is a respected hip hop veteran.  Having started out with Solar Music Group which is credited with the launched and branding the careers of E40, & Master P; Kevin built solid relationships with numerous record groups the following:

  • Priority
  • Jive
  • Thump/Universal
  • Warner Bros

With over 20 years in the entertainment industry, Kevin Dickson is a well-known and respected hip-hop Legend & Veteran.  Having appeared on Multi-Platinum Records such as The Luniz’ Operation Stackola and Too $hort’s Can’t Stay Away and You Nasty, before landing himself a position in Ant Banks’ TWDY (The Whole Damn Yay) trio alongside Rappin 4tay and Banks.   

Under his belt are multiple group and solo albums; most notably the TWDY single “Players Holiday” quickly became a Classic hit from coast to coast featured respectively on both MTV and BET and helped to solidify national recognition of Bay Area Artists.  In addition, he appeared on the post-Dr. Dre Death Row collection, The Chronic 2000 Album, and also released his debut My Cape Is in the Cleaners that same year.  Kevin has become an Asset to many industry insiders working to Develop and Market their Brands. 

Pending the launch of his music label (Mackevelli Music Group, LLC), his A-Codes product line (Footwear, Beverages, Custom Wheels) and Hittem Hard (Ultimate Fighting Championship League) and The Mackevelli Group (Full Service Talent & Production Company), Mr. Dickson will extend his career will into the future.

 

 MEL MOORE, VICE PRESIDENT/COO

 

Mel Moore was born and raised in both Los Angeles and Compton, California. She is the daughter of the late great jazz legend Melvin E. Moore. In 1994, Mel and her children relocated from Los Angeles, California to Las Vegas, Nevada. Her children began modeling for various agencies in Las Vegas. The children were in such high demand that Mel began managing their careers.

In 1996, Mel founded Rampage Entertainment Corporation (REC). Mel was the President/CEO of Rampage Entertainment Corporation from 1996 through 2009. REC was an organization that provided various entertainment related services such as Booking, Management, Concert Promotions, Special Events and Consulting.

 

In late 2008 she was offered the position of President with “The Conglomerate Multi-Media Group” (TCMMG) a Global Multi-Media Corporation comprised of over 25 industry heavyweights.

 

In 2010, Mel was recruited with the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for The Mackevelli Group (TMG), offering a wide range of urban entertainment services in Music, Sports, Feature Films, Television, Motion Pictures, Major Events as well as Branding, Public Relations and Marketing with offices located in the San Francisco, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. Mel has accepted the position of COO with TMG, but will continue to hold her position as President with TCMMG as well.

 

Mel is a very compassionate person and has a maternal instinct that attracts many. Celebrities call her “Momma Vegas” in which she earned the nickname because she opens her home and welcomes her entertainment industry friends who come to town as if she were their mom. She provides a loving family environment to her guest by preparing home cooked meals and offering the relaxation they have so often missed in this hectic industry.

 

Mel is actively involved in other various organizations including: The National Black Business Council (NBBC), National Association of Recording Industry Professionals (NARIP). In 2006, Mel was named Vice President of the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment Inc. also known as (NABFEME).  She is also the Las Vegas National Liaison and Promotional Director for the Las Vegas Local Organizing Committee of the National Hip Hop Political Convention (NHHPC).

 

In 2008, Mel Moore became a Founding Board Member of the global association “Women in Entertainment, Fashion, Music and Media (WEFME) and assists with fundraising efforts annually for the non-profit organization “Compound Foundation” which was founded by award winning R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and his mother Loraine Smith.

 

Most recently, Mel has become a member of (WEEN) “Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network” and the Nevada Women’s Lobbyist group. Mel is very passionate about issues that involve Education, Community, Economics, Human Rights and Politics as well as the Fair and Equal Rights of Others.

Simon Stewart is the Founder of SPITFIRE GRAPHICS CO. (SFGCO) a team of trained and experienced artists who have been dedicating themselves to the wonderful world of design since 1999. The company was started by Academy of Art College (San Francisco, CA) graduate Simon Stewart. After his schooling and a short run @ a local graphics firm, Stewart decided to start SFGCO as a company specializing solely in design.
SFGCO originated in Northern California and now has designers based across the country including San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. As a company that started from grass roots to now having a team of designers that cover the entire design spectrum, SFGCO prides itself in producing High Quality
Artwork for both Corporate and Urban audiences alike.

Founded by producer / singer / songwriter, Si’m Styles AKA Simon Stewart in 2006, Spitfire Music Group has assembled a skilled team of artists, songwriters & musicians who specialize in all aspects of music including: Hip-Hop, R&B, Dance, and Pop music. Si’m Styles, being the son of Sly & The Family Stone founding member Freddie Stewart is no stranger to thinking outside the box or producing hit music. A few of Styles’ accolades include producing tracks featuring artists such as: Nelly, Too Short, Freeway, Mistah F.A.B. Bushwick Bill, E-40’s Captain Savem and most recently Pop artist Linda Kiraly (Universal/ Republic).
In their 1st year, Spitfire Music Group released it’s 1st regional independent project in the form of a 3 member, male R&B group, “Entity”. The group received good radio support with their first two singles: “Fever” feat. Mistah F.A.B and S.E.X. They also performed in numerous venues opening for artists such as: Ciara, Ne-Yo, Raphael Saadiq, 112, EnVogue, Letoya Luckett, Dwayne Wiggins, Petey Pablo, Lil Scrappy, Bell Biv Devoe, Trina, Nina Sky, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Kid Capri, and Frankie Beverly. 
Their title track “Locked Doors”
was also picked up by VH1’s “Love Monkey”. Entity also co-wrote and is featured on the debut single from 15 year old Hip-Hop artist “YS” entitled “High School Wifey” (Sony / BMG) as well as the 2nd single featuring “Grand” on Da Sak Is Still Fatt Vol.2 (Bungalo / Universal).
